Exchequer Statements - January 2010 Returns & Estimated Tax Revenues for 2010

The following statements issued today (Tuesday, 2 February) from the Department of Finance and are all available to download from their website (links to each statement are also provided below)
Statement of Exchequer Surplus / (Deficit) in the period ended January 2010 - this shows an overall deficit of c. €780 million for January 2010. There was a deficit of €747 million in January 2009. The full statement is available to download by clicking here. The following were included as appendices to the January 2010 Exchequer Statement:
- Appendix 1 - End-January 2010 - Analysis of Taxation Receipts - this provides a breakdown of the total tax revenues of €3.074 billion for January 2010. This figure is down 17.7% compared with total tax revenues in January 2009. This appendix can be downloaded by clicking here.
- Appendix 2 - End-January 2010 - Analysis of Net Voted Expenditure - this provides a breakdown of the total net voted expenditure for January 2010 across Government Departments. The total net cumulative voted spending was €4.132 billion. A decrease of 12.9% compared with the January 2009 figure of €4,746 billion. This appendix can be downloaded by clicking here.
A "Cumulative Profile of Expected Exchequer Tax Revenue Receipts in 2010". These are broken down over 8 tax heads as follows; Customs, Excise Duties, Capital Gains Tax, Capital Acquisitions Tax, Stamp Duties, Income Taxes, Corporation Tax and VAT. It proivdes an overall total expected tax revenue of €31.05 billion for 2010. The report can be downloaded by clicking here.
