ITI Branch Network
The ITI Branch Network reflects the structure of Revenue's five regions around Ireland. The ITI Branch Network enables our members to correspond with each other and with Revenue officials at a district and regional level on matters of importance to them in their work as Registered Tax Consultants. It is a unique and valuable service that not only provides information to our members but also gives them the opportunity to feed information back into the network, thereby benefiting their fellow Registered Tax Consultants.
"The ITI Branch Network is a fantastic interaction tool for Registered Tax Consultants and Revenue at a local level. We have seen great results from the discussion groups and the district and regional meetings. I would encourage all Registered Tax Consultants to get involved at a local level and to get to know their district and regional ITI representatives. They will see tangible results in terms of resolving day-to-day issues, gain profile for themselves and their employers and benefit from enhanced relationships with Revenue."
Tim Quinlivan, Shiel Kinnear, Chairman of ITI East/South-East Branch Network
Importance of the ITI Branch Network
The ITI Branch Network ensures that ITI members:
- are kept fully informed of important tax administration issues, particularly on a regional basis,
- are made aware of pressure points that arise in the standard of Revenue service delivery in the new regions
- have access to a structure that can represent them on local issues with local senior Revenue personnel.
How is the Branch Network structured?
The ITI branch in each Revenue region consists of:
- a chairperson and
- ITI represenatives – drawn from senior and experienced personnel in the various regions.
The ITI representatives will be mapped to tax districts throughout the regions to focus on the needs and issues of local members. These include:
Border/Midlands/West
Dublin
East/South East
Large Cases Division
South-West
How does the Branch Network operate?
On a local level, ITI representatives:
- are available to members for feedback on tax administration/customer service issues,
- liaise and consult with local senior Revenue personnel on members' behalf
- liaise with other branches to monitor consistency of treatment on customer service issues between the various Revenue districts and regions.
On a regional level, chairpersons:
- liaise and consult with senior Revenue personnel on issues affecting an entire region
- provide structured feedback from various branches to assist and support the consultative process on national-level issues.
The branches also provide regular feedback and support to members countrywide on important tax administration issues.
