Speaker Profiles
Brian Colfer is a Senior VAT Manager with PwC and a Lecturer in VAT for the Irish Taxation Institute. He was previously a VAT Manager with Dermot O’Brien & Associates and a Tax Senior with Horwath Bastow Charleton. Brian has also spoken at a number of Irish Taxation Institute seminars and wrote a number of VAT articles for publication in various tax/accountancy journals. Brian advises clients in all industry sectors, has considerable experience advising on all types of property transactions and VAT reviews/health checks for some of Ireland’s largest companies, semi-state bodies and financial institutions. He holds an honours Bachelor of Business Studies (Accountancy) from Waterford Institute of Technology and qualified as an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute in 2005.
Paul Murphy is a taxation consultant and management accountant for Martin J. Kelly & Co. He is a corporation tax lecturer for the Irish Taxation Institute and is an Associate of both the Irish Taxation Institute and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Tracey O'Donnell
is a Solicitor in the Private Client Department of McCann FitzGerald. Tracey qualified as a Solicitor in 2006 and specialises in tax and estate planning. Tracey is also an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. Tracey has lectured on Capital Taxes both for the Irish Taxation Institute and for the Law Society of Ireland.
Margaret Sheridan is the Principal of Sheridan Tax Training & Consultancy. She is a Registered Tax Consultant and former Council member of the Irish Taxation Institute. She is co-author of the Irish Taxation Institute publication
Irish Taxation Law & Practice and currently represents the Irish Taxation Institute at the TALC Collections subcommittee. She has worked in the area of taxation for over 20 years, specialising in personal and employment taxes. She lectures extensively for the Irish Taxation Institute and Chartered Accountants Ireland.
