Speaker Profiles
Alan Haugh is a senior member of the employment law group at A&L Goodbody. He was previously Head of Employment Law at IBEC and legal advisor to NERA. Alan advises on all aspects of employment, equality and industrial relations law and has wide experience representing employers before each of the employment dispute resolution fora.
Ken O'Brien is a Director in PwC’s Human Resource Services team, specialising in Employment and Expatriate Taxation and Social Security. Prior to joining PwC he worked with the Revenue Commissioners as a Revenue Auditor. Specialising in consulting and planning in the areas of PAYE, PRSI, Expatriate Taxation and International Social Security, Ken leads a team with deep experience of advising leading Irish and multinational clients in all industry sectors, both public and private. Ken has previously presented for the Irish Taxation Institute and is a regular media contributor in his area of expertise.
Thalia O’Toole is an Associate Director with the KPMG tax practice specialising in income tax and social security issues for mobile workforces, share remuneration and Irish PAYE. She has lectured and chaired the KPMG Global International Executive Services EMEA training programme. She has over 10 years’ experience working in personal tax and is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.
Barry Walsh is a Partner in A&L Goodbody’s Employment Law Group. He advises a wide range of corporate and institutional clients, partnerships and foreign law firms on all aspects of Irish employment law from recruitment to retirement including contentious, advisory and transactional work. Barry also advises on employment law and industrial relations issues arising from mergers and acquisitions, outsourcing and redundancy situations.
