Thursday 22 May 2008, Rochestown Park Hotel, Cork from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00p.m.
Description
Major change is taking place in the domestic and international property markets. The taxation of property transactions is also transforming. The most important changes to the VAT treatment of property transactions, since the tax was introduced, take effect from 1 July next. Major issues are also arising in relation to the stamp duty and double taxation aspects of property transactions. These changes provide both challenges and opportunities to clients and their advisers.
The Irish Taxation Institute is delighted to provide a one-day conference that will cover the taxation and commercial considerations of dealing with property from a variety of perspectives. Our speakers are leading experts in their respective fields, and bring a wealth of practical and technical experience that will provide valuable advice on many property-related issues.
Speakers:
John Heffernan, Ernst & Young
Marie Hunt, CBRE
Eamonn Hurley & Michael Lynch, KPMG
Terry O'Neill, KPMG
Emmet Scully, LK Shields
John Shine, Revenue
