The AITI Qualification
What is the AITI?
The Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute or AITI is recognised as the pre-eminent qualification for taxation professionals in Ireland. Only holders of the AITI qualification can use the desigated title "Registered Tax Consultant". The Irish Taxation Institute is in regular contact with employers to ensure that the training it provides meets employers’ demands. The ITI's educational mission is to train people to provide technically correct and commercially sound taxation advice.
The AITI is the only taxation qualification in Ireland officially recognised under EU Directive 2005/36, which enables holders, on meeting certain criteria, to practice not only in Ireland but also in all other EU Member States.
