I can’t recommend the course highly enough. I heard about TMITI from one of my colleagues who did the course two years before me. I’m an operations accountant in an American multi-national and although at the moment I’m not dealing with any tax issues, I wanted to become more familiar with all aspects of Irish tax and there is a possibility that I will use it in my job in the future.
The course gives an excellent overview of the Irish Taxation system and it would enable anyone to prepare tax / VAT/ PAYE returns for sole traders or small companies. The CGT part was also excellent. I would recommend it to anyone. For graduates it enhances any qualification that they have, for self-employed it enables them to calculate their own taxes and for anyone wanting to change career it is a stepping stone to AITI.
The support from the ITI Education team was excellent and the notes were very comprehensive and easy to understand. All the notes were on the website too if I missed any classes, so it was easy to catch up. There are plenty of practice exam questions available to students also, which I recommend for anyone looking to really succeed in the course.
