Entry Requirements
State examinations
To register as a student, it is necessary to have obtained a minimum of two grade Cs (C2s after 1992) in ordinary-level papers in State examinations.
Other qualifications
Other professional or academic qualifications (including overseas qualifications) may be considered, where such qualifications are of an equivalent standard. Applicants who do not meet these requirements may also be considered on merit.
Exemptions
There are no exemptions available for the Tax Technician course.
Do I need to be working in tax?
You do not need to be working in tax to register or to sit the exams, nor do we require that you gain practical experience in tax before being admitted as a Technician Member. An increasing number of our students are drawn from a wide range of sectors.
