ITI Branch Network
Tax administration in Ireland has changed dramatically over the last number of years. We now have a completely restructured Revenue with new regional structures, approaches and practices. To reflect these changes, the Irish Taxation Institute has established a
nationwide branch network structure, which has a presence in all of the Revenue regions and enables us to communicate far more effectively with members on important tax administration issues.
It is critical that members:
- are kept fully informed of important tax administration issues, particularly on a regional basis,
- are made aware of pressure points that arise in the standard of Revenue service delivery in the new regions and
- have access to a structure that can represent them on local issues with local senior Revenue personnel.
How is the Branch Network structured?
The ITI branch in each Revenue region consists of:
- a chairperson and
- ITI represenatives – drawn from senior and experienced personnel in the various regions.
The ITI representatives will be mapped to tax districts throughout the regions to focus on the needs and issues of local members.
How does the Branch Network operate?
On a local level, ITI representatives:
- are available to members for feedback on tax administration/customer service issues,
- liaise and consult with local senior Revenue personnel on members' behalf and
- liaise with other branches to monitor consistency of treatment on customer service issues between the various Revenue districts and regions.
On a regional level, chairpersons:
- liaise and consult with senior Revenue personnel on issues affecting an entire region and
- provide structured feedback from various branches to assist and support the consultative process on national-level issues.
The branches also provide regular feedback and support to members countrywide on important tax administration issues.
What's the next step?
It's time for more action!
