The Irish Taxation Institute represents the interests of our members not only at a local level but increasingly internationally as well.
Developments and decisions at EU level impact on the day-to-day work of Registered Tax Consultants. To reflect this reality, and to ensure that our members are informed and represented, the ITI places particular importance on our EU services.
These are focused on the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Court of Justice. Our efforts are assisted by liaising closely with our sister Institutes across Europe and through our involvement in the Confédération Fiscale Européenne or CFE. With this emphasis on our EU services, the ITI is well placed to alert members to developments as they unfold in Brussels. As part of visits by ITI members and staff to Brussels, we meet regularly with Commissioners, Commission officials, MEPs and other influencers.
